Instead of dealing with waste after the fact, at GreenSecure we look at ways to prevent its creation as early as the design phase. Our products, such as the biodegradable tree protectors, tree sleeves and tie tubes, are made from materials that naturally decompose into biomass. As a result, they do not have to be collected and processed separately after use, which prevents transport and additional waste streams.
We are developing innovative production methods that allow us to use fewer raw materials without sacrificing quality. For example, our tree trunk protectors are designed to provide exactly the right protection with minimal material usage. In addition, we produce locally, reducing carbon emissions from transportation.
For materials that cannot be avoided, we put maximum effort into reuse and recycling. We use recycled raw materials and biodegradable materials as much as possible, so that our products degrade naturally without leaving behind harmful residues. This prevents plastic pollution and also saves on labor costs for disposal.
